Gunty’s Husband

I found out today that Gunty’s husband left her for another man, who also works at the bank, and is technically her superior. That may be the saddest thing I’ve ever heard.

There are certain people you will never like, regardless of anything else. A guy will never like his girlfriend’s ex-boyfriend no matter how cool he might actually be. A grown women will never like her father’s new wife, no matter how kind she may be. And no one will ever like an unfamiliar superior at their job who delivers the news that they could be let go, regardless of whether that person is “only the messenger”. So, with that in mind, it is a small, yet wonderful nugget to hear that Gunty’s husband left her for a man and that everyone she knows personally and professionally knows about it. While at the same time I feel sorry for her, it helps me through the times when she delivers her doomsday message with smartass sarcasm.
